8mm - suitable for fine necklace chains and very fine bracelets. Good for nimble fingers, a bit tricky if you aren’t used to opening and closing small clasps. Recommend soldering if wearing everyday.
10mm - great for fine chains but if you like ease of opening and closing and good size for standard chains. Still a bit small if you have Arthritis in your fingers or knuckles. Recommend soldering if wearing everyday.
12mm - perfect for standard chains and bracelets, usually pretty easy to use. recommend soldering
16mm - Only suitable for medium to heavy weight chains. Not suitable for standard or fine chains because if the clasp is too heavy for the width of the chain it actually makes it harder to open and close. It also tends to move to the front. Highly recommend soldering
18mm - medium to heavy weight necklace chains and bracelets. Highly recommend soldering.
